I don't need to remind you that we live in unbelievable times, incredible times, times of economic prosperity and economic challenge, times of technological development that is beyond our imagination. We are the most prosperous society in the history of the world and yet Americans have more problems, more depression, more discouragement, more challenges, more people are strained and stretched in every fiber of their being by the problems of life. It is, as the novelist said years ago, It's the best of times and it is the worst of times.
