1000 Days: The Journey Begins
We've been working on this series for months, literally from about October we've been putting this together and working on this. And today we begin this series. And we're excited about what is going to take place because we're going to spend the next few months literally, and I mean in every possible way that we can, delving into the life of Christ, unlike we have ever done before. To truly get a sense of what it is that Christ wants us to know of what He did, and what He said, of Who He is, and what He wants us to do with that. How does it impact us? How does it change who we are as followers of Christ? And we are going to literally really study every aspect of His life, from the Old Testament prophecies of the coming Messiah to the Christophanies that we find in the Old Testament, those Old Testament appearances of Christ, right up to His supernatural birth in that manger in Bethlehem, right through His death, burial and resurrection, to the ascension as He went back to the right hand of the Father. And you can imagine in looking at all that Christ did, this is a pretty aggressive series, a pretty aggressive thing that we are talking about here. And we certainly couldn't get it done if we were only going to be talking about it on Sunday morning. It probably would take about twenty years. In fact, I'm not sure twenty years would actually do it justice. And so what we've decided to do is something totally different than we've ever done before. This series is going to be a 24-hour a day, 7-days a week series.
